Aim: The Sportsability Programme is aimed at KS2 children who don’t normally engage in physical activity. They Amy be disengaged due to a variety of reason such as lack of self-esteem, behavioural needs, lack of confidence or lack of opportunity outside of school. The sports ability programme aims to improve children’s fundamental movement skills (agility, balance, and co-ordination) and apply these within team games and activities which they may not normally experience. An improvement in fundamental movement skills aims to increase confidence and enthusiasm to take part in physical activity, helping children to lead a sustainable healthy, active lifestyle.
