Although it might be hard to imagine it now, our children will become adults sooner than we think. And our job as parents is to make sure that they have the skills to successfully navigate the adult world. One of those skills is to be independent and not just helplessly wait for others to do things for them. It won’t surprise you to hear that learning independence doesn’t start when children are 18 so what are the best ways to encourage age-appropriate independence to last them a life-time?
