Children hear about what is going on in the world through social media and television, from their peers, listening to adult conversations… Sometimes, the news that they hear about is uplifting, but sometimes the news can be upsetting, worrying or they can’t quite understand it. If we don’t talk to children about it, the uncomfortable feelings created by the upsetting news can grow and trouble children affecting their thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
